Regarding the project, which was launched in September 2021, Nigar Evgin, General Director of the Turkish Spastic Children’s Foundation – Cerebral Palsy Turkey, said: Closely invent and create models. In collaboration with Ford Otosan, we realized three different projects for children with special needs. We knew the benefits of the technical application included in the therapy program for children with cerebral palsy. With the help of Ford Otosan, we have implemented this expensive service at our private Hıfzı Özcan Special Education Rehabilitation Center within our Foundation. The unit, which was put into service as Turkey’s first “technology-based rehabilitation area”, was equipped with robotic systems, speed-supporting technology, web-based applications and video-based games. In this way, our children with cerebral palsy will be able to receive rehabilitation services while having fun. Thanks to technology, we will be able to set specific and achievable goals for each of our children. At the time of application, thanks to the intensity and frequency, our children will have the opportunity to experience different movements.

Also, our experts will be able to share this data with families by reporting details of our children’s development before and after therapy. In the technology-based rehabilitation area, performance such as improving standing, walking and balance skills, increasing coordination, strengthening muscles, providing flexibility, relaxing spastic muscles, and positively affecting performance will be performed. The unit, which will be open five days a week, aims to serve an average of 320 children a year, “he said.
