Esra TÜRKER-Mehmet ANNAN / BURSA, (DHA) – The ‘1 Ginger Theater’, a group founded by Bursa business people and featuring 22 untrained theater workers, is part of a social responsibility project. The theater group, which was founded 6 years ago, donates ticket sales for the plays they stage to foundations and associations working in the city, especially for children with leukemia. The team’s new game ‘true or true? After the May 30 premiere, Lemuria will be staged to benefit the Bursa Aid Association for children with leukemia (LÖDER).
‘1 Ginger Theater’, which was founded 6 years ago by 22 people working in different professions, continues its social responsibility projects. Theater groups, who rehearse and stage their plays in their spare time from work, sometimes provide a scholarship with income from the healing of a child and sometimes income from ticket sales. Bursa LÖDER comes first among the places where donations are made.
‘We are optimistic about our children’
Özgür İde Acarbabacan, deputy director of 1 other theater and board member of Bursa LÖDER, said that a hospital for children with leukemia was established with the proceeds from the sale of theater tickets. We play our games for the benefit of NGOs, associations and foundations. The proceeds of all game tickets are donated to the relevant association. Our friends are all amateurs and members of other professions. However, they are by our side in this work with time in mind. The Bursa Aid Association for Children with Leukemia was established in 1994. With all these grants, we have established a hospital within Uludag University. Sabahatin Gaziolu Children Hematology and Oncology Hospital. We also have a sick guest house in Görükle. With this grant we give hope to our children. “
‘Together art and good fortune’
Arbzgür İde Acarbabacan, who said that the stage adventure of 22 amateur theater actors began with a dream, explained the process in the following words:
“We have teachers and artists. We have friends who do their own business. We have a good mix. In fact, there are names among us that the people of Bursa know. We met 6 years ago. It was actually a dream we saw together with my friend Elif. We thought if we could combine art and Mars, and I’m glad we did. We become life, soul and blood for our children, especially at the Bursa Aid Association for Children with Leukemia. In addition, it is transferred to scholarship funds of many foundations and associations. Thanks to us, many of our children have been given scholarships. We have many associations that touch patients. We have a portfolio of about 15 associations. Now we have a brotherhood with the association. We are continuing our work together and we are very happy to see the results. Since we all live in Bursa, we have friends on the board of directors of the foundation and the association. Since we also know the board of directors, we have no problem choosing these associations. Because it’s been 6 years. For 6 years, we have signed a very good project hand in hand.
They will take the stage for children with leukemia
1 Another theater troupe, which will be on stage 12 times for 9 different associations this season, their new play ‘True or True? It will premiere on May 30 with Lemuria. Written by Elif Epiri and directed by Serkan Chetinkaya, ‘True or not true? The play ‘Lemuria’ will be staged at Yeni Duniya Culture and Art House in Kurunlu district of Jemlik district. The proceeds of the plays staged on 1-2 June will be donated to Bursa LÖDER.
The play will continue to be staged after LÖDER for the benefit of many associations and foundations, said the play’s author, Elif Epiri. It will be staged at the New World Art House in Bursa Kurunlu. We built a stone theater building in the forest. We do our charitable work in this building. We will be performing June 1-2 for the benefit of the Bursa Children’s Leukemia Association. Later, we will play for the benefit of many associations of Bursa. We will have 16 plays this summer, but we will have 10 plays this winter. I think we’re going to donate 30 games, 30 nights, pretty much. ‘Is that true? We handed over the proceeds of all the tickets for the ‘Lemuria’ game to the president of the association that evening. 1 Many scholarships were collected from other theaters. Many funds have been opened. Our ticket sales are very good, the news is constantly coming that ‘our tickets have been cut’. We are fed with it, and we are very happy. Huge revenue has already been collected for the benefit of LÖDER. This donation will save the lives of many of our children. ”
‘Playground was the gift of epidemic to me’
Elif Epiri, who is involved in the textile business, said that writing the play was a gift from the epidemic for him and said:
“I have been performing in the theater voluntarily for 6 years. I started writing plays for 2 years. This drama actually started during the epidemic. The epidemic has given many people different gifts. We had a very painful day, but we tried to get their gift. Since I had a lot of time on the epidemic, I started reading more books. Mevlana’s words in a book fascinated me; ‘I can meet you in one place. It will be a place where there is no right or wrong. Then I decided to write a play called ‘Satya or Satya’. Because after reading this sentence, a lot of information flowed to me. Many pictures went before my eyes. I wrote this game. I shared it with my friends, my friends and we started playing our game together. “
‘Our game is based on dream dialogue’
“The name of our play this time is ‘Satya Na Satya?’ Lemuria ‘. Lemuria is the name of a continent that was lost to New Zealand in ancient times. And according to historical data, Lemuria was inhabited by a much larger civilization than us. Here we see the dream dialogue between the Lemurians of our dreams and the people now living in the worldly life. In other words, we will look and see what we have and how we should look, both to have fun and to think, sometimes with some sadness, so that we can actually move towards a higher level of civilization. It’s an educational game, “he said. (DHA)
