Emin Erdogan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, National Education Minister Mahmoud Ozar and Family and Social Policy Minister Deria Yannick Avila attended the inaugural ceremony of 150 kindergartens in 81 provinces organized by the Ministry of National Education at the Esperanto Kule Kindergarten. The ceremony began with the performance of the national anthem and a moment of silence.
After the ceremony, Erdogan cut the opening ribbon and posed for a souvenir photo with the children, Minister Ozar and Minister Yannick. Then visit the newly opened Ispartakule Kindergarten Protocol.
“Elementary school education increases school attendance”
The Minister for Family and Social Services, Yannick, who was the first to speak on the stage, said, “The Minister for Family and Social Services, Daria Yannick, we as the Minister of Family and Social Services, continue our efforts to improve the quality of life of our children. We create models that will add value to their social life. In this sense, we also run projects for the early participation of our children in the need for pre-school education in social life.
Research and scientific studies indicate that reading in primary school has a very important effect on children’s motivation towards school. Primary school education also increases school attendance. Undoubtedly it is important to make a healthy start in the life of our children so that they can have a quality education life and become useful people for themselves and the society. In this sense, we all know that pre-school education is a turning point. Because of this, we have increased the number of 1,179 private nurseries, day care centers and children’s clubs opened under our ministry in 2002 to 2,304 to date, “he said.

“All barriers to access to education have been removed”
Speaking before the inaugural ribbon-cutting ceremony, National Education Minister Mahmoud Ozar said, “Our Honorable Minister has spoken of the last 20 years, a period when barriers were removed in all cases. It was a time when all barriers to education were removed. Announcing a huge solidarity in enrollment rates, enrollment rates in all schools from pre-school to higher education have increased drastically. Numbers are useful to remember. In the 2000s, only 10 out of 100 children, or 10 percent of 5-year-olds in school, entered non-compulsory pre-school education. Today this rate is 92 percent. Our enrollment rate in secondary education was 44 percent, today it is 90 percent. Same in higher education. The second important point is that all barriers to access to head scarf education have been removed. In other words, clothing barriers have been removed. It was not enough. Access barriers to high access brought by the Coax application, which came into effect in 1999, have been removed. If that is not enough, a solidarity was declared for our special education students to meet with education wherever they are. Currently, 453,000 children with disabilities have access to special education practice schools if they have the opportunity, if they have problems with integration and inclusion, if they have an ongoing illness, they can receive education at home hospital. . Now, after removing all access to the front of this education, we have set a new goal in front of us. Pre-school education. Pre-school education is not just a level of education that bridges the gap between success in schools. At the same time, it is a very valuable field in strengthening not only the cognitive skills of our children, but also the non-cognitive skills. When we started like this, there were 2,872 independent kindergartens in the whole of Turkey. So we started the journey to build more kindergartens in a year. Today we are inaugurating 150 of them. The process of including the remaining 2,850 kindergartens in the investment program has been completed. Hopefully, we want to complete this kindergarten project in Turkey by opening 100 kindergartens every month according to the women’s program. “

“I am very pleased to receive this information that the school enrollment rate for 5 years which was 78 percent will increase to 100 percent.”
Speaking on stage before cutting the inaugural ribbon, First Lady Erdogan emphasized pre-school education and said, “Early childhood education has always been our government’s primary education policy. Although 320,000 of our children received pre-school education in 2002, it is gratifying to know that this number has risen to 1.8 million today. 10,000 school projects in primary education were started under the patronage of our President. This labor is the product of a great vision that will move our society forward. In the 11th Development Plan and 2022 Presidency Program, 5 years of age was taken into the compulsory education framework in early childhood education. Our Ministry of National Education has noticed that every child will get at least 1 year of pre-school education. In this context, I am pleased to announce that the 5-year-old school enrollment rate will increase from 78 percent to 100 percent by the end of 2022. “
Referring to the opening of 150 kindergartens in his speech, Erdogan said: Today we are opening 150 kindergartens. About 30,000 of our puppies will take their first steps in their educational life in these educational homes. Of course, our goal is much bigger than that. Inshallah, we will open an additional 3,000 kindergartens for the existing 2,072 kindergartens and an additional 40,000 kindergartens for the current 30,000 kindergartens. If these goals are met, an estimated 2 million 100 thousand children will benefit from kindergarten opportunities. Arrangements were made for our children to attend kindergarten in our village and in a sparsely populated area. The number of students has been reduced from 10 to 5 to open a class. Where there are less than 5 students, our teachers go to our children. Our ministry caters to the nutritional needs of our children, especially our families with limited opportunities and their nutritional needs in the pilot area. “
