150 kindergartens have opened in Istanbul with the participation of Emin Erdogan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, National Education Minister Mahmut Ozar and Family and Social Services Minister Deria Yannick.
The inauguration of the 150 kindergartens in Istanbul was attended by Emin Erdogan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, National Education Minister Mahmoud Ozar and Family and Social Services Minister Deria Yannick.
Expressing confidence that the most important capital of life is acquired at this age, Erdogan noted that experts say that about 70 percent of people complete their mental, emotional, social and physical development between the ages of 0-6 years. . Mentioning that the first 6 years of life are decisive in the rest of life, Erdogan added: “Every parent’s biggest dream is to get their children to go to school and complete their schooling one by one. We know that the children went to school. They become more stable adults not only in their academic life but also in their business life. Also, kindergarten is the place where the equality of educational opportunities is realized most quickly. The next generation is less likely to be in the underprivileged class. In short, although education enables a person to walk the path of life with confidence, it also prepares a bright and beautiful future for our society. “
Noting that early childhood education has always been a priority for the government, Erdogan said that 320,000 children had received pre-school education in 2002, a number that has risen to 1.8 million today.
“The 5-year schooling rate, which was 78 percent at the end of 2022, will be raised to 100 percent.”
Erdogan went on to say: “As you know, the ‘10,000 School Primary Education Project ‘was launched under the auspices of our President. In the program, in early childhood education, 5 year olds were included in compulsory education opportunities. Our Ministry of National Education’s goal was that every child should get at least 1 year of pre-school education. In this context, Was 78 percent, will increase to 100 percent by the end of 2022. In addition, the target for a significant increase is the school enrollment rate for 3 and 4 year olds.
Today, we are opening our 150 kindergartens. About 30,000 of our puppies will take their first steps in their educational life in these educational homes. Of course, our goal is much bigger than that. We will open an additional 3,000 kindergartens with the existing 2,782 kindergartens and an additional 40,000 kindergartens with the existing 30,000 kindergartens. Once these goals are met, our nearly 2 million 100,000 children will benefit from kindergarten opportunities. Arrangements were made for our children to attend kindergarten in our village and in a sparsely populated area. The number of students has been reduced from 10 to 5 to open a class. Where there are fewer than 5 students, our teachers visit our children. “Noting that the relevant ministries meet the stationery needs of children, especially families with limited opportunities and their nutritional needs in the pilot area, Erdogan said the children are with them and their families. All means are there so that they can hold a pencil.
Addressing the teachers, Erdogan said: “The most decorated schools in the world are like an abandoned building, if you do not have dedication. It is your selfless work that truly reaches out to our children, equips their world with knowledge, science and moral values. We have repeatedly expressed our gratitude for the sanctity of your profession and for you. You know that school is the first social environment after a child’s family. – Half of the mother. They mingled with what they learned from you, mingled their lives with the door you opened. Many people today “because she chose teaching as her profession, her teacher, who left a deep mark on her life. I believe it is a great and equally immortal work that a person can leave behind. “
First Lady Erdogan concludes: “We live in a world where globalization is gaining new meaning every day. Unfortunately, people are eating the same culture and pool of ideas. In other words, we are living in a cultural climate that is increasingly arid. Rapidly becoming a distant history, we cannot add new miles to our civilization. “However, every element that forms the heritage of our civilization, which is no different from a vast ocean, can be kept alive. The new generation. You are the one who will weave people and raise hedgehogs in this way. Children give humanity a strong chance to start all over again. That hope will never be dashed, on the contrary, I always hope to try to make it stronger. “
In his inaugural address, Minister Ozar thanked First Lady Emin Erdogan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for taking such a project to protect him. Fast. October 26, ‘There will be no school without a library.’ In two months, we broke a record and built 16,361 libraries. By the end of 2021, we had to say, ‘There are no schools. Without libraries in the Turkish education system.’ Caesar, Silopi, Mugla, Fethiye, Marmaris, wherever they are … We were not satisfied with this alone. We will deliver a thousand. ” He said.
Minister Ozar also thanked for the 1000 eco-friendly school project that started a month ago. The project is over and with the participation of Emin Erdogan in the first week of June they will open 1000 eco-friendly schools, at least one school in all the districts of Turkey, noting that the last 20 years have been a period. When the barriers to learning have been removed.
Emphasizing that enrollment rates have been increased at all levels from pre-school to higher education and barriers to access to education have been removed, Ozar said that some statistics would be useful to recall:
“In the 2000s, the enrollment rate for 5-year-olds was 11 percent. In other words, only 11 out of 100 of our children were able to enter non-compulsory pre-school education. Today, the rate is about 90 percent. Similarly, in secondary education. , All the barriers related to headscarves and clothing. It has disappeared. It was not enough. Obstacles to higher education were overcome by the application of coefficients in 1999. It was not enough. Our students meet education wherever they are. Children with disabilities receive education at Integration Inclusion or Special Education Practice Schools, and if possible have the opportunity to receive education at home or in a hospital if they have an ongoing illness. “
The goal is 100 new kindergartens every month
Expressing that they have set a new goal for access to pre-school education, Minister Ozar said, “Pre-school education is not just a level of education that reduces the success gap between schools. Not only to strengthen cognitive skills. Again, Hon’ble Emin Erdoানan said, “We have started the journey of opening 3,000 new kindergartens and 40,000 new kindergartens under the auspices of Turkey. The number 3,000 can be pronounced very easily. , But when we traveled on this road, there were 2,872 separate kindergartens all over Turkey. In other words, we have more schools in a year. Today we are opening 150 of them. The remaining 2,850 kindergartens have been completed in the investment plan for inclusion and strengthening of all processes. We want to complete this kindergarten project in Turkey by opening 100 kindergartens every month, and in the process we have entered to open 40,000 new kindergartens, we have introduced 8,500 new nursery classes. We have increased the five-year-old kindergarten enrollment rate from 8 percent to 92 percent. We have brought together about four lakh children, including kindergartens, ”he said.
Noting that the number of students in pre-school education rose from 300,000 to 1.8 million in the 2000s, Ozer said: Socio-economic context, from pre-school to higher education. However, we have an education system that can easily access all levels of education. “
Revealing that in 20 years, especially under the leadership of President Erdoan, there has been a great change in the education system, Ozar thanked President Erdoan that most countries can achieve this in 50-60 years.
Noting that girls’ schooling rates in Turkey are also ideologically similar, Ozar said: “The idea has been created that conservatives do not want to give girls a chance to get an education, they want to keep them out of school. Both schools did not exist. Complaints of deportation have been made. Here. In the last 20 years, the enrollment rate of girls in secondary and higher education has been higher than that of boys. In other words, the problem of girls going to school has been solved. He thanked Emin Erdogan for his support.
At the end of the speech, Erdogan cut the inaugural ribbon with Minister Ozar and Family and Social Services Minister Deria Yannick Kindergarten students.
