The 6th Turkish Film Week has started in Kyrgyzstan

The 6th Turkish Films Week event in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, began with the screening of Amir Khalilzadeh’s “Devotional-Sacred Fight”. In his speech, Minister Kamankulov said that such events contribute to the development of cultural relations between the two countries. “Turkey has made a lot of progress in cinema and is one of the top countries in the world,” said Kamankulov. “We have a lot to learn from Turkey in this regard.

“Turkish film week is being held in Kyrgyzstan at the moment. We always want to maintain our cultural ties. Intense. Because Turkish and our language are the same, Kyrgyz are the same language.” Religion is the same. “

Turkish movies in 152 countries of the world

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Demirkan said the event was one of the events organized to promote brotherhood and love between the two countries. Noting that Turkish cinema is shown in 152 countries around the world, Demirkan said that cinema is the number one tool for cultural transfer.

Referring to his research on Turkish cinema, Demirkan said, “I found an answer that Turkish TV series and movies ultimately bring love, affection, brotherhood and dialogue. Because it is our culture, our feelings. Our films do not turn around. Hate, anger. And towards enmity. Turkish culture is already full of love. Isn’t that so? “There are many words. Of course, the most effective medium for this is cinema. That is why we are here today to enhance this friendship and increase cultural interaction with different channels, ”he said.

Gundogdu, chairman of the Native Thought Association, said the event was held with the joint support of the two countries and thanked all those who supported the event. Bishkek Ambassador Dogan said relations between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan are warm and that “cinema brings us closer together and strengthens our brotherhood.”

After the speech, Kyrgyzstan’s Deputy Minister of Culture Demirkan and President of the Indigenous Thought Association Gundogdu were awarded certificates and medals by Turkish directors and actors for their contribution to the development of cultural relations between the two countries. After the inauguration of the program, the film ‘Bhakti-Sacred Fight’ directed by Amir Khalilzadeh was screened.

The film week’s framework will run until June 20, with Faisal Soysal’s “Walnut Tree”, Sinan Sartel’s “The Hero in Me”, Emre Cavuk’s “If You Call for Love, It Comes” and Cagri Same Bayrakli’s “Istanbul Guards”. Animation It will meet moviegoers for free.

Following the screening of the film, the film week will feature Turkish cinema interviews with students from Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University where the audience will meet the artists. Turkish directors, actors and producers and Kyrgyz filmmakers are also expected to hold bilateral meetings on co-production.

Within the framework of Turkish Films Week held in Kyrgyzstan since 2016, the award-winning work of Turkish master directors as well as popular movie films with intense interest of filmgoers are screened.
