– In established sports schools within the scope of the Sports Konya project; A total of 31,630 students have been brought in with sports in 56 sports facilities in 28 districts in 25 branches in 3 different periods.
– Konya Metropolitan Sports Club, which operates within the metropolitan municipality and was established to support young people in the field of sports; It has 11 branches, 21 coaches, 860 active athletes and 3,825 licensed athletes.
– In the last 3 years, 3,526 athletes in 13 disciplines have won 151 gold, 102 silver and 127 bronze medals at Konya Metropolitan Belediyespore.
– In addition to existing sports facilities, new facilities were built to further strengthen the city’s sports infrastructure. In this context, Carpiner Swimming Pool, Sidishehir Sports Hall, Doganhisar, Bole, Tuzluku and Kullu carpet fields were completed.
– Construction of sports facilities in 26 districts outside the center is in full swing.
– Corporate sports leagues and folk dance leagues are organized into claimed branches. The folk dance league is running with about 250 students in 12 different schools with proper infrastructure in the center of Konya.

– Konya will be the sports capital of Islamic countries in 2022. Konya was also selected as the ‘2023 World Sports Capital’ by the Federation of European Capitals and Cities. It is the first city in Turkey and the second in Europe, after Madrid, to receive the title of ‘World Capital of Sports’, one of the most prestigious sports titles in the world.

550 km cycling road
Cycling is the branch where Konya is most ambitious, especially in the development of sports tourism. With 550 kilometers of cycle paths, Konya has the longest cycle path network in Turkey and the top cycle path network among the countries in the world. By 2030, this length is targeted to increase to 786 kilometers.
Of course, one of the most important investments is the first Olympic Velodrome in Turkey … The facility, built by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Konya, is counting down the days to hosting world-renowned athletes. In addition, the construction of the athletics track and the Olympic swimming pool has been largely completed. 16 week swimming lessons for students

The most important feature of the marathon was that the registration fee was transferred to the SOBE Foundation, the largest and largest center in the field of autism in Turkey.
